This year’s theme is “Daydream.”
The Marugame Genichiro Inokuma Museum of Contemporary Art (MIMOCA) will celebrate its 34th anniversary on Sunday, November 23, 2025 (a National Holiday).
This year’s theme, “Daydream” invites you to explore the unimaginable—it may open the door to new possibilities for the future.
We’ve prepared a variety of programs for your enjoyment and imagination.
Please spend a relaxing and joyful day at MIMOCA.

In celebration of the museum’s 34th anniversary, everyone is welcome to enjoy the exhibition free of charge.

◎Kimura Toshiro Jinjin: Nodate and Mouso-Yatai
At Jinjin’s Nodate (open-air tea ceremony), you can enjoy tea in a cup of your preferred shape, selected from a variety of unglazed cups that are glazed and fired on the spot. Why not spend a leisurely afternoon at Gate Plaza, drinking tea, watching the glazing and firing process of a cup, and having a chat? Mouso-Yatai by members of the long-term project ‘Kimura Toshiro Jinjin: Nodate and Mouso-Yatai-gun’ are also going to appear!
The event runs from around noon until sunset.

◎ Daydream Radio
What would MIMOCA do if it had its own radio station?
For the MIMOCA’S BIRTHDAY only, we’ll be launching an “Daydream Radio” in front of the Art Centre on 2F. We’ll fuel your imagination with a variety of programs that transcend the boundaries of art, including live broadcasts touring events within the museum and guest talks. Furthermore, through MIMOCA’s YouTube account, we’ll deliver the atmosphere of the opening anniversary to your ears, even if you can’t make it to the venue that day. We invite you to enjoy programs designed to spark your imagination from MIMOCA’s inaugural radio station.
